George Washignton 59, Musselman 30
Charleston – George Washington overcame a miserable shooting performance in the first half of Tuesday’s Class AAAA quarterfinal game to trounce Musselman 59-30.
After hitting on only 20 percent of their shots in the first half, the Patriots connected at a 50 percent clip in the second half, advancing to the state semifinals.
Zaniah Zellous led the way with 17 points and 12 rebounds while Finley Lohan netted 16 with 12 rebounds and six blocks.
The Patriots will face Morgantown on Friday at 1 p.m. with a spot in the state championship game on the line.
