Charleston – No. 3 Tucker County faltered in the fourth quarter Friday night in the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center, falling 49-41 to No. 2 Gilmer County in the Class A semifinals.
The win sends Gilmer to the state championship game, setting up a rematch of the 2022 title game, won by Cameron on a steal and 3 at the buzzer.
The Titians used a 21-point fourth quarter to secure the win, holding the Mountain Lions to 10 in the frame.
Allie Ellyson led the charge with 16 points, nailing all eight of her free throw attempts while Makenna Evans scored 10 off the bench for Tucker.
The Class A title game will tip off at 5 p.m.
