Charleston – No. 6 Trinity went 1 of 28 from the floor in the second half, falling 80-35 against against No. 3 Wheeling Central in the Class AA quarterfinals Thursday morning in the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
Wheeling Central placed three in double figures with Kaitlyn Blake’s 26 points and 15 rebounds leading the way. Addie Payton (22) and Brook Edge (14) joined her in double figures.
Kaylin Kurilko led Trinity with 15 in the loss.
Wheeling Central advances to the Class AA semis where it will face the winner of Williamstown-Petersburg on Friday at 9 p.m.
