Charleston – No. 2 Williamstown used a 25-point third quarter to pull away from No. 7 Petersburg Thursday afternoon in the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
With the win Williamstown advances to the Class AA semifinals where it will face No. 3 Wheeling Central on Friday at 9 p.m.
Faith Pickens led Williamstown with 21 points and 13 rebounds while Akhia Miller finished with 12.
Sam Colaw scored 13 in the loss for Petersburg.
Williamstown and Wheeling Central met once this season, a game won 50-47 by Wheeling Central.
