Charleston – Lala Woods poured in 27 points as top-seeded Wheeling Park overcame a 19-point second-quarter deficit to beat Spring Mills 59-51 Thursday night in the Class AAAA semifinals at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
Wheeling Park advances to Saturday morning’s Class AAAA title game where it will face No. 2 Morgantown for the fifth time this season.
Wood was flanked by Bordas who scored 20 points with 16 coming in the second half. Natalie Daugherty added 10 as all three players proved pivotal in the comeback effort.
Kilah Dandridge led Spring Mills with 16 points while Reagan Edsell scored 12 points and grabbed 17 boards in the loss. Spring Mills finishes its season 21-1.
