GLADE CREEK, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Glade Creek Road and the Glade Creek Campground at New River Gorge National Park and Preserve are temporarily closed following a slide in the area.
According to park officials, the slide occurred along Glade Creek Road just beyond the Grandview Sandbar Campground.
The road will remain closed while crews work to clear the slide. Because of the road closure, Glade Creek Campground is also temporarily closed.
The National Park Service did not provide an estimated time for reopening.
Visitors are encouraged to check for updates from New River Gorge National Park and Preserve.
