DUNBAR, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A GoFundMe donation page has been created in the wake of a tragic motor vehicle accident which occurred last week and claimed the life of a Kanawha County man.
As reported by the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, September 21, 2023, a vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of US Route 119 (Corridor G) and Childress Road involving a South Charleston Fire engine and one other motorist.
While three firefighters involved were reported to have sustained injuries as a result of the accident, the civilian motorist – identified as 46-year-old Franklin Dale Crouch – unfortunately passed away as a result of injuries from the crash.
Crouch is said to have been en route to his job at the time of the crash, and he has left behind an array of grieving co-workers, friends, and family, including his two children Dakota and Cheyenne, and his wife of over twenty years, Marie.
“He was a loving, caring father who would drop everything to help his family near or far away,” said Marie. “He had the biggest heart, as many know. He was a very hard-working, dependable man, and his coworkers and bosses all thought the world of him. He had many friends who he thought the world of, as well as family.”
Those who are able have been encouraged to contribute to the GoFundMe campaign to assist the Crouch family in the coverage of funeral expenses and medical bills, and to provide ongoing assistance to the family as they navigate this tragic loss.
