CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Governor Jim Justice is sending members of the West Virginia National Guard to Florida ahead of Hurricane Milton.
According to Gov. Justice, he has directed 40 members of the West Virginia National Guard to Florida in preparation for Hurricane Milton.
Hurricane Milton is currently in the Gulf and is at Category 4 strength.
It is expected to make landfall in the Tampa area Wednesday evening.
“We always answer the call when our neighbors are in need. Pulling the rope together is how we get through tough times,” Gov. Justice said. “My prayers are with everyone who’s running to the fire.”
West Virginia is not expected to see any effects from Milton.
