ALDERSON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman is in jail after punching her 92-year-old grandmother for not having any money in her account.
Alderson Police were dispatched to a disturbance on Morning View Dr. on Tuesday, July 6. The victim said her granddaughter was yelling at her because she didn’t have any money left in her account. The suspect, Jessica Clay, told police that she did get “mad over not having anything to eat and stuff.”
Later in the day, the 92-year-old grandmother went to give a statement to police and said that Jessica Clay hit her with her fist in the head and face area over not having any money. Police could see that the victim had a black eye and a knot on the left side of her eye area.
Clay is charged with domestic battery. She was giving a 2,000 dollar cash-only bond.
