GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Greenbrier County father is facing numerous child sexual abuse and child abuse charges.
According to the West Virginia State Police, Kyle Hamrick, 43, of Ronceverte, allegedly abused six children aged 8 to 21. The children told troopers Hamrick would throw them, hit them, and sexually abuse them.
One of the children says his father got mad, so he picked him up, threw him against the wall, and hit him in the back of the head. Another child was hit with a shelf and started bleeding a lot. One child said Hamrick cut her with a kitchen knife in the knee and left a scar. Another child described an incident when Hamrick grabbed and choked him by the neck.
Hamrick allegedly threatened the children that he would hurt them and their mother if they told on him.
All six children, both boys, and girls, said Hamrick sexually abused them. One of the children said when they were in the 5th grade, Hamrick told her she was getting to the age of sex and that he would show her how everything works. The children say Hamrick would watch them in the shower all the time. Hamrick allegedly tried to pay one of the children if he could touch them or if they would touch him.
Hamrick allegedly attempted to burn the house by pouring gas around it and lighting it on fire.
Hamrick is facing 21 counts of sexual abuse and 10 counts of child abuse resulting in injury. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 100,000 dollar bond.
