LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Rupert man faces charges after threatening to blow up Ruby Tuesday’s, all the cars, and the worker’s children.
According to Lewisburg Police, on October 19, 2021, officers were dispatched to Ruby Tuesday’s restaurant after James Crabtree was calling in asking for a woman. Â When the girls answering the phone told him she was not working, Crabtree started making threats of throwing grenades there the windows of the restaurant. Â Crabtree threatened to blow up their cars, blow up Ruby Tuesday’s established due to him planting a bomb in the restroom, following them home, and making them watch him kill their children.
When police spoke to the female victim, she told police that she broke up with Crabtree at the end of August and took him to his mother’s home in Kentucky. Â According to the victim, Crabtree has continued to call her workplace and make threats to harm employees. Â She had to quit her job at Lowes because he continued to call and make threats.
The victim emailed officers numerous messages where Crabtree threatened to kill her, her children, grandparents, and mother. Â He also said he would burn down the house with all of them inside. Â He would hold a 22 revolver and say he would use it to kill them all.
Crabtree is charged with false reports concerning bombs or explosive devices, threats of a terrorist act, and criminal acts. Â He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 25,000 dollar bomb.
