RUPERT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Greenbrier County man is facing charges after allegedly strangling a woman.
Greenbrier County Deputies responded to a home in Rupert after a very aggressive male called 911. Â When deputies arrived, they found a female victim upset and crying. Â She told them that her boyfriend, Dusty Mays, grabbed her by the throat and pushed her to the ground after an altercation. Â Mays then continued to squeeze her throat, her vision got blurry, and she was unable to breathe.
Deputies say that Mays had left home before they got there but was later located driving toward Gap Mills. Â When Mays was questioned, he told police, “We were in an argument, and I put my hands around her throat.”
Mays was charged with domestic battery and strangulation. Â He is being held in Southern Regional Jail under a 10,000 dollar bond.
