RONCEVERTE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Greenbrier County man faces arson and attempted murder charges.
According to a criminal complaint, Damon Simmons is accused of setting a fire inside a home. Simmons refused to listen to commands from officers and eventually was tased. At one point, Simmons was spraying different items in the basement and trying to light them while telling the officers to shoot him.
Simmons is charged with attempted murder, arson, and assault on an officer without a weapon. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 75,000 dollar bond.
