CHARMCO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The No. 15 ranked Greenbrier West Cavaliers held off a push from Pocahontas County to earn a 16-14 victory in their home opener Friday night.
The Cavaliers improved to 2-2 on the season with the hard-fought win, relying on a tough defensive effort to keep the Warriors winless on the year. Pocahontas County fell to 0-4 despite putting together one of its strongest performances of the season.

Greenbrier West will look to keep momentum going next week when they travel to Man to take on the Hillbillies, while Pocahontas County returns home to host the Richwood Lumberjacks.
