MARTINSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Officers with the Martinsburg Police Department were dispatched on Wednesday to the scene of a reported shooting incident in the 500 block of North Queen Street.
According to the MPD, on April 10th, 2024, at approximately 2:05
p.m., officers received reports of shots being fired. Upon arriving at the scene, officers located evidence confirming that a shooting had occurred.
“Preliminary investigations suggest that two parties exchanged gunfire from a distance,” authorities said. “Despite the exchange, there is currently no evidence to suggest that any individuals were struck by the gunfire.”
The investigation remains ongoing and law enforcement continues to work with witnesses and evidence to gather further information pertaining to the incident.
A road closure was implemented as officials worked to process the scene of the afternoon’s events.
