PIMA COUNTY, AZ (LOOTPRESS) — Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos announced Monday that members of the Guthrie family have officially been cleared as suspects in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
In a public statement, Nanos emphasized that all members of the family — including siblings and their spouses — are no longer considered persons of interest in the investigation.
“To be clear … the Guthrie family — to include all siblings and spouses — has been cleared as possible suspects in this case,” the sheriff said. He added that the family has been “nothing but cooperative and gracious” throughout the investigation and described them as victims.
Authorities had previously indicated that investigators were already moving away from considering the Guthrie family as suspects, according to earlier reports citing law enforcement sources.
The investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance remains ongoing.
