(LOOTPRESS) – Singer/songwriter and country music icon Hank Williams Jr. has announced plans for an upcoming run of shows which will encompass much of the east coast and southern regions of the U.S.
The news came on Wednesday, as the musician – son of pioneering country music legend Hank Williams and father of musician Hank III – made the announcement of the tour’s anticipated April launch.
Coordinated to coincide with the 45th anniversary of the release of Williams’ ninth studio album – 1979’s Family Tradition – the tour will kick off in Birmingham, Alabama on April 3, 2024, making its way to thirteen cities across the country before winding down in Kansas City, Missouri in September.
An extensive list of special guests will join the trek, including Whiskey Myers, Neal McCoy, Charley Crockett, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives, and Old Crow Medicine Show.
“Are y’all ready?,” the country legend queried fans. “I’m heading out on tour in 2024 and bringing some of my rowdy friends along to celebrate 45 years of Family Tradition!”
Presale for the tour – presented by Live Nation – begins Wednesday, December 6, 2023, and general ticket sales begin Fri December 8, 2023, at 10:00am.
