CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The West Virginia House of Delegates adopted House Concurrent Resolution 49 on Tuesday morning, urging the Maryland General Assembly to reject any legislation that would change the stream designation of the North Branch of the Potomac River from a “Warm Water Aquatic Life” use to a “Cold Water Aquatic Life” use.
Lawmakers supporting the resolution argued that such a change could impose unnecessary financial burdens on industries in West Virginia.
The resolution has now been moved to the Senate for further consideration.
