SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – In a recent announcement that has local residents excited, the City of South Charleston revealed that Huey Magoo’s will be one of the first tenants at the forthcoming Park Place Shopping Center, currently under development along U.S. 60.
Huey Magoo’s is a fast-casual restaurant chain that specializes in premium chicken tenders, which it calls “The Filet Mignon of Chicken®.”
Founded in 2004 in Florida by Matt Armstrong and Thad Hudgens, the chain has grown to dozens of locations in multiple states, including one in Morgantown.
Their menu centers on handcrafted chicken tender meals, wraps, salads, and sandwiches, with choices for grilled, hand-breaded, or sauced tenders.
The new Park Place Shopping Center is a major commercial development in South Charleston.
According to regional planning documents, the center will span over 400,000 square feet and feature a variety of large anchor stores, retail outlets, and restaurants.
It is part of a broader economic development effort, designated by the state as the South Charleston Park Place Economic Opportunity Development District.
The project has been pitched as an economic boost for the area, with potential public and private investment topping $350 million.
When completed, the center could host as many as 20 to 26 stores, including national brands.
Other confirmed tenants include Kroger Marketplace, Mission BBQ, Chick-fil-A, and Starbucks.
