MASON COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A husband and wife were arrested after hitting and punching each other in the face.
On June 12, 2024, around 8 p.m., Deputy C. Gibbs and LT. A. Varian were called to 93 Jordan Landing, located in Point Pleasant, Mason County, WV 25550, because of a domestic dispute.
When they arrived, the deputies talked to Jeremy Deweese, who said he was the husband. He told them that he and his wife, Sheila Deweese, were arguing, and things escalated, leading to her climbing on him while he was sitting on the couch and hitting him in the face.
Jeremy Deweese claimed that he had to defend himself and ended up punching his wife in the nose after she hit him back.
LT. A. Varian noticed some injuries on Jeremy Deweese’s face.
Deputy C. Gibbs also saw injuries on Sheila Deweese’s face, including a bloody nose and mouth. As a result, both Jeremy Deweese and Sheila Deweese were arrested for domestic battery.
