RICHWOOD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Nicholas County man was charged earlier this month following a domestic situation that followed a game of Farkle.
According to Dep. Chief Boggs of the Richwood Police Department, on December 15, 2023, at 12:29am, a 911 call was placed by a woman locked in a second-floor bedroom.
Upon arriving at the scene, Dep. Chief Boggs made a forced entry into the home and made contact with the victim after clearing the area. No other individuals were located inside the home at the time.
The victim, who identified herself as Lacy Losh, informed law enforcement that her husband had been drinking and had become angry while playing the game Farkle when an argument ensured. The victim advised she had gone up the stairs of the residence to get away from her husband, who followed her up the stairs and proceeded to choke her.
It was further advised by the victim that, when she felt herself beginning to lose consciousness while being choked, she poked the perpetrator in the eye. The husband – identified as Gary Losh – then stopped the attack, at which point the victim locked herself in a bedroom and contact 911.
The victim began gathering her belongings at this point and had intentions of traveling to stay with her mother. When she attempted to procure the keys to a vehicle to make the trip, however, it was discovered that her husband had taken all vehicle keys and left the residence.
With no means of travel, Losh was transported by law enforcement to a women’s shelter in Raleigh County. Reports indicate that when Dep. Chief Boggs made contact with the victim, the victim displayed visible redness and swelling in the neck area, corroborating her explanation of the events which transpired.
Gary Losh has been charged with Strangulation based on these events.
