FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An incarcerated man is facing new felony charges in Fayette County. Sheriff Mike Fridley releases the following information.
A January trial began in Fayette County against Charles Haggerty for the sexual abuse of a minor. That trial ended with Haggerty taking a plea. New of this conviction resulted in another victim coming forward to report sexual abuse.
Charles Haggerty, 46, is charged with four counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, four counts of Sexual Assault in the First Degree, and four counts of Sexual Abuse by Parent, Guardian, or Custodian, all felonies. Haggerty, who is serving a prison sentence for his previous conviction, will now await court proceedings for the new charges.
