MADISON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The No. 1 ranked Class AA Independence Patriots kept their perfect record intact Friday night, rolling past the Scott Skyhawks 53-0 on the road.
The Patriots dominated on both sides of the ball, shutting out the Skyhawks while extending their win streak to open the season. Independence’s offense piled on the points, while its defense kept Scott from finding the end zone.

With the win, Independence improves to 4-0 and will return home next week to host the Bluefield Beavers in a marquee matchup. Scott falls to 1-3 on the season and will look to regroup when they host the Mingo Central Miners in their next contest.
