FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An Indiana couple is facing multiple charges in Fayette County.
According to Sheriff Mike Fridley, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on US60 in Hico in the area of Stringtown Road. The male passenger threw a package of suspected fentanyl into the weeds to prevent the Deputies from securing it. A subsequent search revealed numerous units of buprenorphine/naloxone. The male and female occupants of the vehicle were subsequently arrested. During processing the female battered one of the Deputies.
Amanda Vanhussen of Indianapolis is charged with Possession With Intent to Deliver Narcotics, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Obstructing, Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
Matthew Spivey also of Indianapolis is charged with Possession With Intent to Deliver Narcotics, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, Obstructing an Officer. It was also found that the female has an active protective order against the male party. Because of this, the male is also charged with the Violation of a Protective Order. They will now await court proceedings.
