WELCH, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An inmate at FCI McDowell County was found dead.
The Department of Justice says Javier Capote-Cauz, 30, was found unresponsive at the Federal Correctional Institution McDowell in Welch, W.Va. Saturday evening.
Officials say Capote-Cauz received life-saving measures and was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Capote-Cruz was sentenced in the Northern District of Texas to a 210-month sentence for Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance and had been in custody at FCI McDowell since October 2020.
The cause of death hasn’t been revealed.
