LOGAN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An investigation is currently underway following a fire that destroyed a West Virginia apartment building.
According to the City of Logan Fire Department, at 9:47 PM on Monday, November 13, the City of Logan Fire Dept. was dispatched to a fully involved structure fire in the 100 block of Pine Street downtown.
Upon arrival, crews found a three-story brick apartment building with the top two floors fully involved with fire on the first floor as well.
Crews began attacks to extinguish flames and worked to protect several other exposures in very close proximity as well.
They were able to extinguish all flames and crews were able to clear the scene and return to service.
No injuries were reported in this incident.
The department responded two Engine Companies, 2 Squad Companies, and one Rescue Company.
The origin of this fire is being treated as suspicious and is currently being investigated.
