BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Tuesday morning’s Regular Session meeting of the Raleigh County Commission saw the revisiting of a previous agenda item pertaining to the role of Grievance Coordinator.
Initially included as part of the agenda for the first Raleigh County Commission meeting scheduled for the month of September, the item was considered alongside that of consideration of Grievance Procedures for Raleigh County.
These procedures, as explained by Quesenberry himself during Tuesday’s session, are, “designed to accept and resolve any complaints and problems relative to the activities of the Raleigh County Commission.”
He continues, “[a form will] be placed on a [Raleigh County Commission] website along with the instructions, and any citizen that wanted to resolve a complaint or have any kind of grievance, they can fill out this form and submit it to us by web portal.”
Following approval of a motion for adoption of Raleigh County Grievance Procedures, a motion was made by Raleigh County Commission President, Greg Duckworth for approval of Jay Quesenberry as Grievance Coordinator for Raleigh County. The motion saw approval and passed through the commission.
Elsewhere during the session, various pay requests saw consideration along with a number of open bids including those for a courthouse security grant and human resources vendor.
