LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – After 25 years of service to the people of Greenbrier County, Jonathan Comer, longtime pastor of Lewisburg Baptist Church, has officially announced his candidacy for the West Virginia State Senate in the 10th District. The Republican primary election will be held on May 12.
Born and raised in West Virginia, Jonathan Comer brings deep roots in the Mountain State and a lifelong commitment to conservative values. He is a devoted husband, father of three daughters, and a lifelong Republican.
“After much prayer and careful consideration, I believe this is the right time to step forward and serve the people of our region in a new capacity,” said Comer.
If elected, Comer pledges to represent the citizens of Monroe County, Summers County, Nicholas County, Greenbrier County, and portions of Fayette County with integrity, ethics, and dedication. His platform centers on lowering taxes, addressing affordability challenges facing West Virginia families, stand up for the life of the unborn, advocating for higher-paying jobs, prioritizing education, expanding tourism, and defending religious freedom.
“My goal is to bring principled, Christian conservative leadership to Charleston and to work diligently on behalf of the families and communities of the 10th District,” he said. “West Virginia deserves leadership rooted in common sense, strong values, and a commitment to service.”
