ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Mayor Jerry Marco presented a commendation plaque to Municipal Judge Robert “Bob” Jones during a recent council meeting, recognizing his longstanding service to the community.
Judge Jones served on the Elkins Common Council from 1983 to 1992, leaving his mark on Elkins history through his dedication to public service. In his role as Municipal Judge from 2014 to 2023, he ensured fair and impartial proceedings, upholding the principles of justice for Elkins residents.
Mayor Marco expressed gratitude for Judge Jones’s efforts, stating, “Judge Jones has been a pillar of our community, contributing significantly to our growth and well-being. Today, we honor him for his outstanding service and selfless commitment to the betterment of our city.”
The ceremony was attended by council members, city officials, and others. As Elkins expresses gratitude through this commendation, we hope his example will inspire others to step forward to serve their community.
