BECKLEY, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – The Academy of Careers & Technology (ACT) is looking for judges for its Simulated Workplace Portfolio.
According to ACT, as part of their Simulated Workplace companies, students have prepared portfolios, including a letter of introduction, resume (showcasing credentials earned in their program), and many will have pictures of projects that they have completed as well.
ACT needs judges to help conduct mock interviews and score their portfolios.
“This is your chance to coach the future workforce and make students from Raleigh County Schools shine by giving them needed advice before they go to a real interview upon completion of their program,” the school said.
Volunteer judges are welcome to sign up for one day or multiple days. Morning sessions last from 7:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and afternoon sessions from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The following days are available:
Wednesday, April 27: Afternoon session only
Thursday, April 28: Afternoon session only
Friday, April 29: Morning and afternoon sessions
Food and drinks- prepared by ACT’s ProStart Restaurant Management Program- will be provided for the judges.
