COAL CITY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A juvenile faces criminal charges Tuesday following a threat made to Independence Middle School via social media.
According to Sheriff J.C. Canaday of the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, the department was notified Monday evening of a threat made through social media to Independence Middle School.
An investigation was immediately conducted into the matter through Deputies with the School Resource Division.
The juvenile responsible for the threat had reportedly been identified and now faces criminal charges as a result of the threat.
The specific nature of the threat has not been revealed at the time of writing, nor has the identity of the juvenile charged in accordance with West Virginia State Code.
