MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man was arrested after he broke into Lashmeet Ruritan Club, damaged the property, and stole drum set.
On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, officers responded to a grand larceny complaint at the Lashmeet Ruritan Club. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a club member, who reported that the building had been broken into. Thieves had removed screws from the exterior wall, pulled back the tin metal, and gained entry through the insulation.
During a walk-through of the property, several damages were observed, including the compromised exterior wall, broken fuse boxes, damaged light switch fixtures, and water pipes. She also reported multiple stolen items, including a valuable Pearl drum set.
On June 10, 2024, club members informed the officer that the stolen Pearl drum set had been located at Princeton Pawn on Athens Road. Upon recovering the drum set, authorities identified Bradley Bradshaw as the individual who had sold the stolen instrument.
By July 23, 2024, the Lashmeet Ruritan Club provided estimates for the damages and stolen items. The total damage to the property was estimated at $7,400, with the value of stolen goods, including the drum set, amounting to $2,100.
The investigation is ongoing, and the incident remains under review in Mercer County, West Virginia.
