HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The most recent “Almost Heaven” swing addition has been unveiled at Huntington’s Rotary Park.
Located approximately 200 yards from the upper parking lot/trailhead, the addition was made possible through the efforts of the Greater Huntington Parks & Recreation District along with the City of Huntington Convention & Visitors Bureau.
“We are delighted to announce the installation of our new Almost Heaven swing at Rotary Park,” Huntington Convention and Visitors Bureau Director of Sales and Marketing, Anna Adkins said. “This location was selected for its stunning overlook and accessibility, ensuring that all visitors feel welcome.”
“Almost Heaven” swings have seen installation in multiple locations throughout the state which have been designated as scenic tourist attractions. The Huntington CVB notes that the addition will serve as a beneficial boost to tourism in the Huntington area.
“Summer travel is in full swing and visiting all of these new photo-op locations is the perfect way to start checking off your West Virginia Summer Bucket List,” West Virginia Department of Tourism Secretary Chelsea Ruby said of the new attraction. “I’m appreciative of Huntington’s continued partnership and commitment in helping to spread the word that West Virginia truly is an Almost Heaven destination.”
Over 25 “Almost Heaven” swings can be seen throughout the state, a comprehensive list of which can be found at the West Virginia Tourism website.
