GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On January 7, 2026, Levi William Hamrick was convicted of Sexual Assault in the First Degree following prosecution by the Greenbrier County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
As a result of the conviction, Hamrick was sentenced to 15 to 35 years of incarceration. He was also ordered to serve the maximum allowable term of extended supervised release of 50 years upon completion of his prison sentence.
The sentence reflects the seriousness of the offense and the prosecution’s commitment to pursuing meaningful accountability and long-term supervision in cases involving sexual violence.
Greenbrier County Prosecuting Attorney Nicole Campbell expressed her appreciation for Assistant Prosecutor Lauren Lynch and Corporal J.W. Gilkeson of the West Virginia State Police for their work on the case.
“This prosecution required careful preparation and sustained effort, and I am grateful for the professionalism and diligence demonstrated by Assistant Prosecutor Lynch and Corporal Gilkeson throughout this matter,” Campbell said.
