LEWIS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Lewis County woman is facing serious charges after allegedly threatening to shoot up the sheriff’s office over the phone—despite having no active warrants.
At approximately 9:55 a.m. on Friday, Kassidy Oliver called 911 to ask if there were any warrants for her arrest. After being transferred to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office and told there were none, she ended the call.
Shortly afterward, Oliver called back and issued a chilling threat, stating that if law enforcement didn’t come arrest her, she would “shoot up the sheriff’s office.” She then made a similar threat during a separate call to probation staff at the Lewis County Courthouse.
Authorities quickly launched an investigation, and charges are pending related to threats of terrorism and misuse of emergency services.
