LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The holiday season in downtown Lewisburg promises to be filled with festive charm and wonder as “The Magic of Christmas” returns on November 22, running every weekend through Christmas.
The season begins with a grand tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. on November 22, transforming the central green space into a glowing centerpiece. The towering tree, decked out with lights and ornaments, will be the heart of the celebrations, drawing families together to enjoy hot cocoa and listen to carolers singing holiday classics.
Throughout the season, local retailers will showcase a variety of gifts and seasonal treats, creating a holiday shopping experience perfect for finding one-of-a-kind presents. Children will have the chance to meet Santa Claus, share their holiday wishes, and capture special memories with festive photos. A highlight of the celebration will be the holiday parade on December 5 at 7 p.m., featuring brightly lit floats and lively performances that bring the spirit of the season to life.
As evening falls, downtown Lewisburg sparkles with enchanting light displays, and visitors can take in the sights on horse-drawn carriage rides. Santa and other holiday characters will roam the streets, spreading joy to all who attend.
December will bring additional holiday-themed events, including Black Friday shopping, Small Business Saturday, and Girls’ Day Out on December 14. The streets of downtown will be alive with festive cheer, creating an atmosphere where the spirit of the holidays is celebrated in every corner.
