ROCK CREEK, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A man with active arrest warrants was taken into custody Monday after a state trooper allegedly found a loaded handgun concealed in his underwear and later discovered cocaine during a second search.
According to a criminal complaint, Cameron Jsiaih Yancy was a passenger in a blue Ford F-150 at the Rock Creek intersection on County Route 3 in Boone County around 5:55 p.m. October 12, 2026. The officer was investigating a be-on-the-lookout complaint.
Yancy was removed from the truck for a pat-down. During the search, the officer reported finding a Taurus G2C 9mm pistol tucked inside his underwear. The gun had one hollow-point round in the chamber and two additional rounds in the magazine.
Police said Yancy admitted hiding the pistol because he was prohibited from possessing a firearm. He also had active warrants from Raleigh County for fleeing from an officer on foot and brandishing a firearm, according to the complaint.
The officer later reported finding nine grams of marijuana inside a jewelry box in the truck. The complaint does not identify who owned the marijuana.
Yancy was taken to the West Virginia State Police Madison Detachment for processing. Before his transport to a regional jail, a second search allegedly uncovered a plastic bag containing three grams of cocaine in a small zippered pocket on the left sleeve of his hooded sweatshirt.
