Loay Dennis Ball, 77, of Bland, VA passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Bland Nursing and Rehab in Bastian, VA.
Born August 23, 1946, in Princeton, he was the son of the late Pastor Loay J. ‘’Jack’’ Ball and Opal Mae Blankenship Ball.
Loay was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a graduate of Princeton High School. Before retirement he worked as a heavy equipment operator/mechanic. He was a General in the FCC HAM operators. Loay also loved music and enjoyed playing guitar and teaching guitar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Skipper Wayne Ball; and two brothers, Michael Ball and Perry Ball.
He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Ball of Clarksville, TN; two sons, Wesley Ball and wife Debbie of Bland, VA, and Randall Ball of Princeton; one sister, Sue Ball Smithson, and husband David of Princeton; two brothers, Billy Joe Ball and wife JoAnn of Princeton, Steven R. Ball of Princeton; and close friend, Danny Bogle of Bland, VA.
A memorial service to celebrate Loay’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Fellowship Community Church in Princeton with Reverend Eddie Pettrey officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 PM until the service hour on Sunday.
