DANESE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A local grocery store in Fayette County has announced that they will begin closing on Thursday, December 1st.
Gardener’s Groceries, a locally-owned and family-owned grocery and feed store that is fairly new to the Danese community will begin its closing stages tomorrow.
The Gardner Family announced the following in a statement on their Facebook page, “It’s with a heavy heart that the Gardner family announce[s] that Gardner Grocery Feed and Farm will be going out of business beginning December 1st. Our dream of providing the only store in a rural community in which we ourselves grew up in, cannot go on with the diminishing customer base as we once had.”
According to the store owners, supply chain issues and a decrease in sales resulted in the decision to close the store.
Although the closing stages begin tomorrow, customers can still stop by and shop until all products are sold.
Gardener’s Groceries is located in the former Galaxy Grocery building in Danese.
