WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The White Sulphur Springs Falcons will not field a little league football program this season after organizers said there were not enough participants to move forward.
The organization announced that players and cheerleaders are being released from the program so they have the opportunity to join other teams for the upcoming season.
“Unfortunately, we just didn’t have the numbers needed to move forward with a Falcons season this year. Because of that, we’ve signed waivers for our players and cheerleaders so they can continue with other teams,” the organization said.
Despite the cancellation, organizers indicated they hope the Falcons can return next year.
“We’re thankful for every family who showed up and supported the program, and we truly hope to give it another try next year,” the organization said.
The Falcons also wished their players and cheerleaders well as they move to other programs.
