FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A harmless pizza tease turned into a viral sensation this week at Pies and Pints, the beloved local eatery known for creative pies and cold brews. The restaurant posted a mysterious image on its Facebook page: an upside-down pineapple with the caption, “GET SOME!” ????
Within hours, Facebook commenters went wild. Some joked about the symbol’s notorious alternative meaning in the swinging community, while others debated whether the restaurant had accidentally—or intentionally—tapped into risqué marketing genius. “Are we getting pizza or a party?” one commenter quipped. Another wrote, “This is either a marketing fail… or pure brilliance. I can’t decide.”
The suspense ended when Pies and Pints revealed the truth: the pineapple was a teaser for their new upside-down pineapple cake dessert pizza. It’s cream cheese base, pineapple, cherries, crumbled yellow cake + a caramel drizzle. Yeah… you’re not the only one drooling.
The restaurant eased off the confusion: “We just wanted to tease our new dessert pizza, not start a whole debate about lifestyles! But hey, if it got people talking, I’ll take it.”
Whether it was a marketing fluke or a stroke of genius, one thing is certain—Pies and Pints has everyone craving a slice… and maybe double-checking their symbols before posting next time.
