MEADOW BRIDGE, WV (LOOTPRESS) — Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council is proud to announce that Susan Carothers has been awarded the Appreciation Pin, a national Girl Scouts volunteer award recognizing exemplary service in support of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) within a geographic area.
The Appreciation Pin is presented to adult volunteers who have made a measurable impact in areas such as membership growth and retention, fund development and increasing community visibility—while demonstrating the Girl Scout values of inclusivity and leadership.
Carothers has long been passionate about Girl Scouts, sharing the experience with her daughter and the girls in her community.
She has played an active role in her local Service Unit, serving in multiple leadership positions and ensuring smooth operations. From organizing camp experiences to leading events and community service projects, she has helped deliver lasting memories and meaningful growth opportunities to girls across the region.
