Football season is finally here!
For the fourth consecutive year, we’ve put together a preview for each area football team with stories dedicated to the 21 teams within the region.
These are full-length stories dissecting the storylines surrounding our area teams, recapping how each did last year as well as their outlooks for the 2024 season.
This year’s preview cover, shot by Greg Barnett and designed by Heather Belcher, features Class AAA state runner-up Princeton with stars (R-L) Marquel Lowe, Kalum Kiser, Chance Barker, Daniel Jennings and Brad Mossor.
We hope you’ll enjoy the previews we’ve carefully crafted and follow along with all of our football content this season which will feature game stories and galleries from not just the southern part of the state but others as well including the Kanawha Valley, North-Central West Virginia and the Eastern Panhandle.
This all comes in addition to our Player of the Week polls, weekly installations of The Deep Post as well as a new weekly sports show that will launch Monday, August 26.
