PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Mercer County man is facing criminal charges after police say he exposed himself and urinated outside a Princeton business while staring at two female employees, including a 16-year-old.
According to the Princeton Police Department, Corporal E.D. Leftwich took a complaint on Tuesday, July 28, from an individual regarding an incident that allegedly occurred the previous afternoon.
The complaint states that at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 27, Jonathan Keaton Hess approached a business located on Mercer Street in Princeton.
According to the victims’ statements, Hess looked through the business’s window at an employee and a 16-year-old coworker while allegedly exposing his genitals by pulling his pants down.
Police say Hess then allegedly urinated on the exterior wall of the business while maintaining eye contact with the employees and waving with his free hand.
Investigators said Hess later returned to the business and continued staring at the two female employees, causing them to fear for their safety and lock the business’s doors.
Based on the investigation, Corporal Leftwich said he will seek a warrant through Mercer County Magistrate Court charging Hess with indecent exposure.
The allegations contained in the criminal complaint are accusations only. Hess is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
