CHAPMANVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Logan County man is facing serious charges after he allegedly accused a woman of taking his dope, making her strip, and choking her.
According to State Police, troopers were dispatched to Lincoln Highway in Chapmanville. When they arrived, the victim advised that Richard McClure held her at the home and refused to let her leave. McClure made the woman remove her clothing to find his dope. McClure then allegedly told her he would cause bodily harm if she did not do what he said.
The victim advises that McClure became upset because she did not have his dope, so he grabbed her by the throat, picked her up off the ground by the neck, and threw her to the ground. They left the victim’s home and went to her home, where he made her strip her clothes again for him to search her. A second victim came out and told McClure to leave. McClure then responded to the male victim and said he would burn his house down and have his friends come to shoot up the home.
McClure is charged with strangulation, kidnapping, and two counts of assault. He is being held in Southwestern Regional Jail.
