OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A man was arrested Wednesday after police responded to a reported disturbance at a trailer park in Oak Hill.
According to the Oak Hill Police Department, officers were dispatched around March 4, 2026, to a home at Morton’s Trailer Park after a 911 open line call was received.
When police arrived, an officer reported hearing a verbal argument coming from the back of the residence. After knocking and announcing their presence, a man identified as Joseph Correnti answered the door.
Police say Correnti had blood on his knuckles and appeared intoxicated, swaying back and forth with glassy, bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath.
Correnti told officers he had been arguing over unpaid bills and admitted to punching a wall inside the home.
Officers then spoke with a woman inside the residence, identified as Heather Philhower. She told police Correnti had been drinking and became involved in a fight over money. Philhower alleged that Correnti punched a hole in her bedroom wall, pushed her to the ground, and slapped her across the face.
Police provided Philhower with information about domestic violence rights and offered medical treatment, which she declined.
Correnti was arrested and taken to the Oak Hill Police Department for processing before being transported to Southern Regional Jail, where he is awaiting arraignment.
All suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
