ELKVIEW, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man was arrested during a traffic stop as disclosed by officials on Friday evening.
The Clendenin Police Department reports that the findings of a traffic stop in the 7700 Block of Elk River Road North have led to the arrest of a male suspect.
During a search of the vehicle, a firearm was located which was determined by authorities to be the property of Adam Thornton.
Due to a previous criminal history, Thornton was found to have been legally prohibited from possessing a firearm.
Upon learning of this history, officers facilitated the arrest of Thornton, who faces charges of Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm.
