BOONE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man faces multiple charges after fleeing from deputies.
According to Boone County Deputies, on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, Boone County Deputies were on routine road patrol in the Ashford area. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple violations when the vehicle fled.
After a short vehicle pursuit, the driver fled on foot into the woods. After an investigation into the pursuit, Deputies identified and obtained warrants for Walter McDerment III, 41, from Ashford.
McDerment faces charges of Fleeing in a Vehicle, Driving on a Revoked Operators, and multiple traffic offenses.
