MONTGOMERY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Montgomery man is in jail after a lady gave two men a ride, and one man punched her in the mouth and attempted to rob her.
According to Montgomery Police, on Monday, November 8, a victim called 911 regarding her being robbed and beaten. Â When police arrived at the Montgomery Fire Department, the female victim had large blood on her lips and mouth. Â The victim told police that she was driving down Fourth Avenue in Montgomery when a Black male flagged her down with tattoos on his face. Â The victim identified the suspects as Ronald Terrell Jr. and his friend Jamie Smith.
The victim stated that the suspects requested a ride to Go-Mart and they would pay her. Â Once in the car, Ronald Terrell Jr. asked the victim to take him to his home on Fourth Avenue. Once they got to the house, Terrell Jr. asked the victim for a dollar, at which time she pulled her wallet out to give him a dollar. Â At that time, Terrell Jr. struck the victim in her mouth with a closed fist and attempted to take her wallet. Â The victim then slid her wallet under the seat and began to scream for help. Â As the victim started screaming, both suspects exited the vehicle.
Terrell Jr. is charged with attempted robbery and conspiracy. Â He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 15,000 dollar bond. Â It’s unclear if Jamie Smith will be charged.
