BOONE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Boone County man is in jail after setting a house on fire because he wanted to “no longer be here.”
According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Department, on Wednesday, December 27th, 2023, they were dispatched to a structure fire in Nellis in Boone County. Deputies were directed to the suspect, Daniel Angel, sitting on a concrete step. When they contacted him, he stated he was sitting in his residence and wanted to “no longer be here.”
Angel further told deputies that he got a lighter, went over to the curtains covering one of the windows, and lit the curtains on fire.
Angel is charged with first-degree arson. He is currently in Southwestern Regional Jail under a 75,000 dollar bond.
